Mission Sets New Bar for Style and Design with New M-Cube and Elegante Systems

Las Vegas–CES 2005–January 6th, 2005–Mission, the British loudspeaker manufacturer known worldwide for leading edge design and craftsmanship of unsurpassed quality, introduces its latest home theatre systems, M-Cube and Elegante, at CES 2005. Both systems represent a genuinely new approach in home audio which marries design and cutting-edge technology to appeal to both the discriminating audiophile and ‘life-stylist.’

M-Cube, a breakthrough in acoustic production and speaker design, and Elegante, the industry’s first home theatre system that offers made-to-order customizable finishes, are being featured exclusively at Mission’s demo lounge located at the Las Vegas Hilton, Suite 2825, during CES 2005, January 6-9, 2005, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily.

M-CUBE: Integrating Home Entertainment into the Living Environment
Teaming up with internationally renowned product designers Seymourpowell, Mission’s M-Cube revolutionizes the way consumers integrate audio systems into their living environment. M-Cube, which is designed to allow consumers the freedom to choose to position the speakers anywhere in the living room, consists of five curvaceous cuboid satellites coupled with a compact subwoofer.

With M-Cube, Mission’s acoustic engineers have developed the smallest possible flat panel loudspeakers, without compromising acoustic performance. Using DML (Distributed Mode Loudspeaker) engineering, the loudspeakers house innovative technology that works together with walls, ceilings and floors to create an even spread of sound throughout an entire room.

The M-Cube package is available in both white (‘Ivory’) and black (‘Midnight’), with further customization provided by a wide central fabric strip, which wraps around the speaker. The default wrap will come in ‘Mushroom’ for the Ivory system and ‘Slate’ for the Midnight system, with three secondary wraps provided for each in chocolate brown (‘Umber’), red (‘Ruby’) and light green (‘Olive’). The fabric — ‘Comfort’ by Gabrielle — is a high-quality upholstery fabric with a superior consistency and feel.

“M-Cube is a landmark product for Mission and the industry — never before have we dedicated as much time and development to how a product looks as well as how it sounds,” said Jean-Marc Galiana, CEO of Mission. “The color scheme is designed to reflect people’s personality, decor or mood. We’ve created a product that fits comfortably in the home that also brings with it a superior level of audio quality.”

M-Cube will be available through specialist audio retailers in the United States at an MSRP of $1,995. For more information and specifications, visit: www.mission-cube.com.

ELEGANTE: Customizable Elegance and Sophistication Brought to Home Theatre
Finished in a seven-layer, highly polished, hand-lacquered anthracite, Elegante offers luxury sound and style for those who demand quality audio and sophisticated aesthetics in their homes. The system represents a complete audio-visual home entertainment package that is designed to produce the highest quality movie and music capabilities.

An industry first for its class, Mission is offering the option of fully customized finishes for any Elegante system. A unique ‘made-to-order’ option for the custom market, Mission will match any color or finish that is requested. Customers simply provide Mission with a sample of their color choice and the Elegante configuration is produced accordingly. Mission will be featuring unique ‘one-of-a-kind’ Elegante systems during CES 2005, including one bearing the colors of the Union Jack.

“With Elegante, while each individual speaker holds its muster when taken to task, it’s when the pieces are combined that the true beauty of the system shines,” said Jack Wright, Managing Director of Mission North America. “We’ve designed Elegante to exemplify audio and design ‘cohesion’ in a way that brings both movies and music to life. Furthermore, with the custom finish option, we’re opening the door for people to make a creative statement about the importance of truly great audio in the home.”

Elegante will be available through specialist audio retailers in the United States and Canada and offered as three distinct systems at MSRPs of $5,000, $6,000 and $8,000. All system components may also be purchased individually. For more information and specifications, visit: www.mission-usa.com.
