April Music to Debut Multichannel Pre/Pro with Upsampling Converter
What: April Music will follow-up last year’s introduction of the “ultimate one-box” preamplifier with the debut of a new, multi-channel preamp/processor with two-channel upsampling D/A converter at the Home Entertainment 2005, April 28 - May 1 in New York City. April’s new audio-only multi-channel SP200 preamp/processor (SRP: $3,195) features a stereo (FL/FR) upsampling converter that offers demonstrable differences for bringing out the subtle details in music and movie soundtracks. Stereo settings include bypass, 48Hz, 96kHz, and 192kHz, giving users a full range of options to suit their tastes. With no video switcher to affect the sound, the SP200 features a unique array of inputs for use with a wide range of source components. Along with analog and digital inputs, April includes direct balanced and unbalanced two-channel inputs (one each), a bypass input for use with an outboard preamp, and a “Direct Analog” eight-input facility that bypasses the processor and D/A converter, thereby maintaining 100% of the purity of the high-resolution signal from SACD/DVD-A sources. We invite the press to bring their favorite stereo or multi-channel music recordings to hear for themselves how audiophiles can achieve the remarkable benefits of an upsampling converter for less than $3,500! When: Home Entertainment Show, April 28 – May 1 Where: New York Hilton, Room #914 For further information and advance copies of the press materials, contact: Adam Sohmer SOHMER ASSOCIATES, LLC 718-499-9161 (voice/fax) 347-512-0066 (mobile) adam@sohmerassoc.com
