THE AVOCENT DSVIEW® 3 SOFTWARE NAMED ONE OF MIDMARKET ‘PRODUCTS OF THE YEAR’ BY CMP’S VARBUSINESS MAGAZINE
Huntsville, AL, May 2, 2005 – Avocent Corporation (NASDAQ:AVCT) today announced that the DSView® 3 management software was named a midmarket “Product of the Year” by CMP Media’s VARBusiness magazine. The Avocent DSView 3 management software solution provides secure browser-based control of local and remote servers and devices through a single interface. The IT industry's only fully redundant, replicating database solution allows for automation of routine tasks, event alerts and easy navigation between multiple devices to configure, manage, upgrade and backup any data center device.
The biweekly magazine that provides strategic insight to technology integrators solicited input from information-technology (IT) vendors and solution providers to determine which products and services were best for midmarket customers – companies with between 100 and 999 employees. Entries were considered and reviewed by VARBusiness editors who selected only 100 of the more than 400 nominated products.
The Avocent DSView 3 management software is featured and profiled in the special May 2 VARBusiness “State of the Midmarket” issue.
