“The NextGen Home lets InfoComm attendees see how Runco’s products can enhance any room of a contemporary residence,” said Bob Hana, president of Runco International. “Our displays—from our projectors to our flat-panel plasmas and LCDs—are designed to produce beautiful and vibrant pictures and to seamlessly integrate with the other entertainment and control systems throughout a home. At the NextGen Home, visitors can get a firsthand experience of that user-oriented design in a comfortable and familiar setting that really lets our performance shine.”
Runco International’s VX-2c breaks new ground among DLP projectors by offering a 3-chip configuration with 16:9 (1280 x 720) native resolution for home theater applications. As the first consumer projector manufacturer licensed by Texas Instruments for DLP, Runco and its engineers built the projector’s optical light engine around 3 SuperOnyx™ Digital Micromirror Devices. This eliminates the need for a color wheel, thereby reducing mechanical complexity and achieving superior clarity, color saturation, and contrast. The VX-2c system is packaged with Runco’s new DHD digital video controller/processor, and is the winner of Custom Retailer’s 2004 Excite Award.
The CW-42HD is a state-of-the-art HDTV-ready, flat-panel plasma display monitor that offers a resolution of 1024 x 768 and a 16:9 aspect ratio. It is one of a few high-definition plasma displays capable of high-altitude performance, operating at up to 9,000 feet. This new model also features an anti-glare filter for diffusing direct light sources, making images easier to view under adverse lighting conditions.
The CW-50MC monitor integrates Runco’s exclusive ViViX™ processing onto a modular controller card that contains all of the video processing circuitry necessary for superb image reproduction. The CW-50MC has a native resolution of 1280 x 768 to accommodate all HDTV sources, and maintains a viewing angle up to 160 degrees. The flat chassis measures 4-1/2 inches deep, making it an attractive addition to any fashionable living room, family room, or great room.
