ATIS IPTV Committee to Define Key Issues Regarding IPTV
HUNTSVILLE, Ala.--(June 6, 2005)--ADTRAN„µ, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADTN), a leading provider of network access equipment, today announced Kevin Schneider, ADTRANˇ¦s Chief Technology Officer, has been named co-chair of the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) IPTV Exploratory Group. The group of subject matter experts has been formed to identify and examine deployment issues and establish recommendations supporting the advancement of IPTV. Areas of potential focus include Digital Rights Management (DRM), interoperability verification testing, and IPTV's relationship and functionality in the industry's overarching Next Generation Network (NGN) initiatives.
