Projectiondesign F1+: New and Improved PRO Projector Adds 300-Watt Lamp To Give Brightness An Added Boost

“By adding 20% more wattage with these bulbs, we’ve putting more lumens on the screen – more brightness in an already bright small-footprint projector,” says Gary Plavin, projectiondesign North America president. “Combined with the Texas Instruments SXGA+ DMD™ with DarkChip2™ enhancement, that also helps boost the contrast, for superior black levels and outstanding dynamic imaging.”
The F1+ upgrade maximizes the possibilities for matching several projectors in multi-screen setups. Attendees of InfoComm 06 will have an opportunity to see the new 300-watt projector in action at Booth # 2330 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL, June 7-9.
The F1+ already includes color balance and white point matching, along with absolute contrast and brightness. Projector configurations include several different color wheels, optimized for brightness, plus a selection of custom-made high-resolution lenses.
Small, rugged and full-featured
“From the outset,” stated Plavin, “We wanted a direct resolution match to new high-end notebooks and laptop computers, and compatibility with just about any source available. It was natural for us to use DLP™ technology because of its ability to withstand heavy use. The new F1+ gives us more light-power to help our users deliver the visualization.”
Designed for a wide range of applications and users, from specialized visualization rooms and simulators, through public displays and medical imaging, the F1+ maintains the projectiondesign design philosophy of power in a small package: at just 7.5 lbs., it is small enough to be carried on the road. With its small size and 28dB of operating noise, the F1+ can be installed in almost any space without offering a distraction. Control and complete asset management is provided through the built-in TCP/IP network interface and a full RS232 pass-through for connection of up to 128 devices.
A full two-year warranty, with a third-year extension option, supports the projectiondesign product. By providing a near-maintenance-free platform, the F1+ continues to deliver an ideal solution for a large number of display demands – only brighter.
