Norcross, Ga. - Octava Inc., specialists in HDMI solutions, announced the release of the 4x2 HDMI Matrix Router Switch. This unique 4x2 HDMI Matrix Router Switch supports 2 HDMI outputs and 4 HDMI Inputs with compatibility to Full 1080P, and V1.3 standards. Independent switching enables any of the 4 HD source to be routed to any 2 HDTVs. Both “mirrored” displays or “picture by picture” are supported for ultimate viewing flexibility.

In addition, a master Digital Optical Audio output is included for converting HDMI audio to Optical Toslink audio for easy integration with audio receivers. The 4x2 HDMI Matrix Router switch has a sophisticated EDID engine that operates with either 1 or both HDTVs on.

HDMI is the latest standard for distributing High Definition Digital Video and Audio in high def displays for 2 reasons: 1) uncompressed digital format ensures the best picture quality and 2) HDMI allows content providers to ensure that their intellectual property is protected through HDCP.
