Creative introduced Silencer,™ its proprietary noise-cancellation technology, with the release of the Creative Tournament Gaming Headset HS-1100 -- the world's first product to incorporate Creative's Silencer. Ouch, the price is a bit on the steep side but the robust features are tempting. I've been raiding and looting WoW Gold on a crappy Sony imitation headset and an upgrade has been a long time coming.

It's interesting to note that this is a helluva lot similar to the new logitech headphone that comes with the gaming keyboard/mouse combo.}

They might look similar but that's it. Creative headset comes with not only noise canceling microphone (or a dual array perhaps) but also a special circuitry that computes all calculations for effective noise cancelling ("silencer") That seems to be a defenitive advantage over the logitech latest headset.
