i'm setting up a new sound system for my car and my price range is about 700-900.
these are some of the head units i'm considering:
alpine cda - 9884
alpine cda - 9886
sony mex-bt5000
pioneer deh-p6000ub
people have told me good things about alpine head units and the other two were highly rated on cnet and are also in the price range.
i'm looking for ipod capability and bluetooth, mp3
also i need enough outs to run the rest of the sound system
tentative sound system:
2 re audio se10 10" subs
hifonics bxi1608d mono class d amp 1600w
infinity reference speakers
only thing i've bought so far is the infinity speakers
rest i got price quotes and such.
should i stick with the alpine head unit or would the blue tooth in the sony be more worthwhile and will my system suffer if i opt for a non alpine headunit?
any input would be much appreciated

i'm an avid JVC USER. I Have a JVC Arsenal KD-AR780. i either hook my ipod or laptop to it. it doesn't have bluetooth but when u have PDA phone who needs it. also check out craigslist.com |

You probably bought one already but if you didnt you could go with a eclipse 3200 its got a higher preamp out than the other units. Skip a sony cd player.

Whats wrong with the IDA-X100, 200, 300 models... they are the newest ipod friendly head units, they have blutooth as well... |

I bought a double-din from car-audio-direct.com
its a dvd player with touch screen and bluetooth. $300 shipped .. I reccomned them to anyone. |
