My system as its shaping up. Boston acoustics sx60 http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=20416 I got them because of boston acoustics reputation and the power handling matching my phoenix gold tantrum 250.2 and the adjustable crossover setting of 0 -2 and -4. So far im going to run four tangband 6.5 subs ported to 35 hz with a homemade four inch aero port in a 1.6 cubic foot box. And a phoenix gold xenon 400.1 powering them. For the source a eclipse 3100 headunit with a phoenix gold tld 66 six channel line driver for what should be a clean 7 volts out. |

"Ive heard those BAs before... not bad at all for that price." Im glad to hear that Jake. Some posts on the net said they were weak in the midrange and not very loud on the low end till they break in. Im not very worried about the bottom end because I have a soloution for that if needed. "are you just going to run the tangbands?" I have a image dynamics idq 12 but it doesnt hit loud enough in the 50 hz to 60 hz range in a sealed box If the four tangbands dont do well ill run the idq 12 ported I guess. The four tangbands have more cone area than the 12 though. |

Any reason for using the 6.5" subs? Something different? saving space? |

"Any reason for using the 6.5" subs? Something different? saving space?" Space something different and low weight. As of now it looks like the enclosure will be 32 wide x 7 high x 12.5 deep (internal) with a external port. |

New sub from rd filling in the bass department. The 2009 series sq 12. Probably going 1 cubic foot sealed with some polyfill. |
