so i just got a kenwood kvt-512 and when i installed it the little red lighton the front was blinking i got no response from the head unit. all of the wires are correctly connected and i am aware that the red light means there is a short somewhere. i know there is no short in my wiring. what i am curious about is the fact that i know there is a short somewhere in my car i drive a 1999 dodge caravan and on occasion my speedometer temp guage and rmp gauge flatline so i know there is a short somewhere i am wondering if that short could be causing the head unit to not work? any body have any ideas?
